Milne Bay Province in Papua New Guinea is the main attaction of most tourists that visit the country. Why? because it has a diverse Eco System like the rest of the country, but one that is well nurtured. Milne Bay and like the rest of the remote parts of the country; prize their land and all that it can sustain them with. Therefore I would like to pose this question:

Considering the Lifestyle, Culture, Architecture, Laws etc of this one province of Milne Bay, How would you feel that in the next couple of years there is Alotau University?

  • What can we aim to achieve?
  • What curriculum can we teach?
  • How can we teach Professionalism?
  • Will there be a place in this one big institution for vocational Studies?
Let me know what you think guys and girls. would surely use your input for this.

  1. Firstly, thank you for creating this blog to generaate discussion on the subject. UPNG's curriculuum should be the model to follow but should have its owwn main field of focus, say,in marine science or other that is important to the people, the country and the world.

Bronislaw Malinowski made famous the Kula trade within the Kula ring. Therefore, the anthropology field in this idea of a univversity would ideally be named after Malinowski.

My suggestion for a name is "The Kula University".
